Webinar: Operating Legal Services Offices in the Time of COVID

On June 17th, New York’s Access to Justice Commission hosted a webinar for the managers and I.T. leaders of legal services offices, wherein they discussed how they are dealing with remote work options as they slowly return to a new normal.

Panel: Lynn Kelly (City Bar Justice Center), Lillian Moy (Legal Aid Society of Northeastern NY), Amy Barash (HerJustice), Carla Palumbo (Legal Aid Society of Rochester)

Description: Legal Services leaders from around the state will close out our webinar series with a candid discussion of what their workplaces look like now and will look like going forward, the steps they are taking to support and protect their staff, and how they are adapting service delivery during the transition back to “normal” — whenever that may be.

While not a strictly tech-focused discussion, most offices are working remotely in some way now, and will have to continue that approach in some version going forward. To succeed, programs need to be planning how to adapt – how to integrate new tech tools into their usual business processes, when remote solves problems and when it causes them, how to stay safe but ensure access to justice. If you are wondering about any of these things, this webinar is for you.
