Just-Tech Celebrates Black History Month

In keeping with Just-Tech’s core value of diversity, we invite you to celebrate Black History Month with us!

February is Black History Month and marks an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans who have made significant contributions to America and in fields of the arts, science, politics, entertainment, sports, and many other fields. In 1915, in response to the lack of information on the accomplishments of black people to the public, Carter G. Woodson co-founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History. In 1926, they declared the second week of February as “Negro History Week” to help recognize the contributions of African Americans to U.S history. Since 1976, every U.S. president has labeled February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including the UK and Canada also designate a month to celebrating Black history.
